Job Summary: In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring product excellence by overseeing weight chart accuracy, inspecting labeling and packaging, conducting lab analyses, and maintaining rigorous quality standards across production lines. You’ll work closely with production supervisors and the Quality Control Manager to identify and address any deviations from specifications, while also developing and refining testing procedures. This position requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with lab equipment and GMP protocols, and the authority to halt production when necessary to maintain quality. Pay:
- Swing Shift:
- $19.00-$23.00/hr DOE (Base Wage + $1.00/hr shift differential)
- Overnight Shift-:
- $19.00-$23.00/hr DOE (Base Wage + $2.00/hr shift differential)
Schedule:
- Swing Shift:
- Monday through Friday, some Saturdays as needed. 2:00PM-10:30PM
- Overnight Shift:
- Monday through Friday, some Saturdays as needed. 10:00PM-6:30AM
Location:
- Ferndale, WA
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare quality control weight charts for all products manufactured and oversee their correctness.
- Direct collection of samples of products from operating lines; check and record fill volumes and weights on charts.
- Visually inspect labeling, coding, and packaging of finished products and supervise the same results from technicians.
- Conduct technical lab analysis of raw ingredients, products in process, and finished products according to written specifications and quality assurance procedures.
- Develop new or enhanced testing procedures; conduct experimental analysis, evaluate results, and establish quality assurance or testing guidelines.
- Evaluate new technical procedures, methods, equipment, or other resources used in R&D, product development, and quality assurance.
- Standardize, calibrate, and utilize scientific equipment such as pH meters, AW meter, moisture balance, and weight scales.
- Supervise the upkeep and accuracy of standardization logs for the calibration of equipment and testing procedures.
- Develop and utilize written analytical procedures, including the manufacture, standardization, and use of chemical reagents and solutions.
- Prepare data and perform computer data entry to record information regarding all test results consistent with current documented procedures, written or verbal instruction from the QC manager, or company policy.
- Inspect raw ingredients, processes, and products; inform the QA manager of any raw ingredients of substandard quality, characteristics, or attributes.
- Exercise oversight authority for raw materials, batch mixing, and packaging lines.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of GMP policies and Allergen programs, HACCP, Hazard Communication, Sanitation, and all other relevant safety procedures.
