Inspector - Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM

We are recruiting for a detail-oriented and motivated Housing Inspector to join our client’s team. Our client provides affordable housing options for individuals and families in Skagit County. This role involves ensuring compliance with Housing Quality Standards by conducting field inspections of residential units. The goal is to help ensure participants in housing programs have access to safe, sanitary, and livable housing.

As a Housing Inspector, you'll conduct field inspections, prepare reports, and work closely with landlords, tenants, and housing staff to maintain quality housing conditions in the community.

What you get to do:

• Perform thorough inspections of housing units in accordance with established HQS guidelines
• Document findings and communicate clearly with property owners and program participants
• Collaborate effectively with internal team members and external stakeholders
• Maintain accurate records and follow established procedures for re-inspections and follow-ups
• Coordinate with property owners and tenants for the purpose of scheduling Inspections.                                                                             
• Conduct Initial and Annual Inspections, Complaint Inspections and all necessary Re-Inspections of assisted units according to HUD regulations and company policies and determination of unit compliance. 
• Communicate with program participants and property manager’s regarding relevant violations, repairs and coordinate Re-Inspections. 

What you need to be successful:

• Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with Excel, Word, Outlook and agency specific data-base systems. 

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM

 Pay: $18.49
