Research and Development Technician! 3-Day Weekends with 75% medical benefits paid.
Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for an R&D Technician to join their growing team in Ferndale, WA! Pay: Earn $22.00 an hour!
Shift: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
Position Type: Evaluation Hire
Location: Ferndale, WA
Job Duties & Responsibilities include:
-Partner with engineers to define the steps required to formulate raw materials and fabricate prototypes
-Refine processes to create repeatable, consistent parts
-Fabricate short-run prototypes to support test and evaluation
-Help turn 3D CAD models into reality
-Create documentation that captures process details to help scale prototypes into production
-Working with heavy equipment and hand tools
-Produce composite structures using advanced materials and tooling
-Maintaining a clean workspace
-Maintaining a fast-paced production environment
Skills and Experience Required:-This is a hands-on role: about 75% working with tools and equipment, and 25% on computer tasks.
-1–5+ years of experience in an industrial setting, comfortable using hand tools, heavy equipment, CNC mills, and working with composite materials.
-Good organizational and communication skills. Must be able to use MS Word and Excel.
-CAD design or CNC programming experience is a plus but not required.
-Able to multitask and problem-solve, both in the shop and on the computer.
-Experience with composite materials is helpful but not required.
