Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals is seeking production/packaging associates for a long-term opportunity at a fast-paced, family-owned Industrial baking facility in Bellingham. This company is passionate about producing delicious allergen-free baked goods, promoting sustainability, and reducing its environmental impact. As a production/packaging associate, you will be responsible for ensuring products meet quality standards, monitoring the baking process, working with raw ingredients, and handling various packaging tasks.

Compensation:

• Starting at $17.66/hour with pay increases based on performance and longevity

Shift:

• Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM – 5:30 AM OR 6:00 AM -3:00 PM
• Fridays- variable shift times from a full day to a half day

Job Duties & Responsibilities include:

Packaging:

-Ensure products meet quality standards through regular line audits

-Operating equipment and machinery

-Ensuring machinery runs smoothly and cleanly

-Identify and dispose of defective product

-Checking to ensure packages are damage-free

-Maintaining a clean workstation and observing all company and production floor safety

-Following packaging production guidelines and specifications

-Preparing for the next production day

-Record keeping

-Dishwashing

-Other duties as assigned

Production:

-Monitor food cooking machines and adjust the controls for devices if needed

-Program kitchen equipment to operate according to company and recipe standards and make changes to cooking temperature and time

-Load raw and wet ingredients into the mixer and measure the amount needed by following company recipes and industry standards

-Comprehend written instructions and recipes from the company when putting together ingredients and starting a new batch of products

-Depositing batter

-Baking racks put into ovens at assigned temperatures and times

-Remove the finished product from the production line and push batches to the cooling area, in preparation for packing

-Verify that each finished item meets the quality standards of the company by observing the size and shape of each baked product

-Dishwashing
