Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Smokehouse Operator for a local company in Ferndale! The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable working in a food production environment, able to follow strict safety and quality standards, and comfortable with regular lifting of 50 to 75 pounds. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity that offers room for growth!

Pay:

• $21.00 per hour

 

Schedule:

• Night shift
• Monday through Friday, some Saturdays as needed, 7:00 PM-3:30 AM

• Ferndale, WA

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate smokehouse equipment per SOPs and production schedules
• Monitor temperature, humidity, valves, and smoke levels for optimal conditions
• Load and unload racks of products from the smokehouse
• Adjust settings for product-specific requirements (color, flavor, texture)
• Inspect products for quality and food safety compliance
• Record smoking data (time, temp, humidity) for each batch
• Troubleshoot and adjust processes to maintain product standards
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas regularly
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report issues
• Follow all HACCP, USDA, and safety regulations
• Regularly lifting 50-75 lbs.
